About Drink the World

Drink the World was started in early August of 2002 by a few guys that were tired of bar reviews on other sites. Everywhere we looked, bars got one of two reviews. The bar either got a three from someone pissed off enough to write a review, or the bar got a nine from some fanboy. We figured that if we got a team of people together dedicated to hitting every bar in town we could put up real reviews with scores like four, six, or seven.

About the Founders

Orignally, Drink the World was formed by Alan Smithee and Howard Tibbs, III. No, those are not our real names. Shortly thereafter we enlisted the skills of other contributors to guarantee a wide range of perspectives on the site. We're still growing, and we're still drinking.

Our Disclaimer

Drink the World is a site about adult....um....stuff. The site, therefore, is intended for an adult audience. As such, we make no apologies about our behavior, language, or anything else. If you don't want to read stories about how hard we party, don't come to the site. If you don't want to read about how trashed we get on our selected jaunts about town, don't come to the site. If you are offended by our language, don't come to the site.

Additionally, we make every attempt to insure that our content is accurate. Sometimes it isn't. Sorry. Send us an email and let us know. If you think we gave a bar a bum review, tell us. Believe me when I say that I don't mind going back to a bar and having another drink. Also, content can and will be colored by how much fun we had that evening. Those are the breaks.
